Collaboration with industry-leading companies

TC TECH collaborates with industry-leading companies in the automotive industry

TC TECH of Sweden AB and Avalon Innovation, through HARDGRID, wants to help companies to streamline the production of sheet metal components and potentially reduce energy consumption in their production, by utilizing our innovative heating technology.

HARDGRID was founded in 2019 as a subsidiary of TC TECH Sweden AB. TC TECH is a Swedish Tech company that designs and produces production equipment for companies that produce optical films for high requirement applications in screens and displays. The technology is based on the company's unique and patented induction embossing technology.

After 10 years of research and development, TC TECH is now approaching a commercial breakthrough and has several systems on the market, mainly in Asia. In recent years, we have broadened our offer to also become a future technology partner for the sheet metal industry, through the subsidiary HARDGRID.

HARDGRID has developed a patented induction technology for companies that want fast heating of sheet metal in their processes. The system can be tailored to the needs of a specific application and the material characteristics desired. As an example it could be possible to streamline press hardening of automotive components. Today's ovens could be replaced with induction units, allowing for a streamlined single piece flow. In addition the possibility of tailoring the heat distribution could allow for optimizing the material characteristics for improved performance or production efficiency .

The potential is great

Now the technology will be verified through further tests and validation, which will show how HARDGRID's induction technology can contribute to a more streamlined manufacturing.

We are excited to be able to collaborate with companies such as AT&P, Frauental Gnotec, and RISE as well as having a dialogue with Volvo Cars in Olofström. They are all global leaders in material and production innovation and this project highlights the potential of TC TECH's and HARDGRID's technology.
